Mangal Pandey (July 19, 1827–8 April 1857) (Hindi: मंगल पांडे)
Mangal Pandey
was a soldier (sepoy)
in the 34th Regiment of the Bengal Native Infantry (BNI) of the English East India Company.
He is widely seen in India as one of its first freedom fighters.

Indian
Government has issued a postage stamp in remembering him as a freedom fighter,
and addition mangal pandey also pictured in silver screen.
During the 1857 uprising in Lucknow was the venue for a fierce battle. An Italian photographer Felice Beato shoot this moment after mutiny. Some say bones are dug out for the photo, but for me it was another matter.

The Hang
It was common to hang in public during to serve as a warning to other rebellious. Place is not mentioned by photographer. Picture is taken in 1958.
The Mutiny Memorial
A monument to british officers in Delhi, there is record of a 2163 officers and men were killed, wounded or missing between 8th june to 7th September 1857.
The Jantar Mantar
In 1858, the Jantar Mantar observatory in Delhi damaged in the fighting. There
is so much damage to the building.
